The Los Angeles show has been presented with a prototype that will give life to a production model in the coming years. We talked about the Subaru Viziv-7 Concept, a seven-seater SUV that could be the spiritual successor to the now-defunct Subaru Tribeca. As we said, it will lead to a vehicle that will be marketed in the United States by 2018. At the moment we do not know if it will reach more markets.
But let’s focus on the Viziv-7 Concept. Its image is very robust, in the style of other models like the Outback and Forester. The front is highlighted by a large hexagonal grille that is flanked by two sharp LED headlights. Black plastic protects all body underparts. In the profile, we find some prominent wheel arches and roof bars. In the rear, they dominate the rear pilots that are united in the half of the gate.
The Subaru Viziv-7 Concept looks impressive with its 5.2 meters long, 2 meters wide and 1.8 meters high. Its wheelbase is 3 meters, which will translate into a lot of interior space. These dimensions make its production version can be a significant rival for the Volkswagen Atlas. The configuration of three rows of seats and seven seats will make the mark enter a segment with importance in some markets.
Images have not yet been shown from the interior, but we can expect it to be quite futuristic due to its prototype status. Similarly, no details have been given on the mechanics of this Viziv-7 Concept. For the production model, it is possible to expect boxer and total traction motors, as in most patterns in the range. To know more information, we will have to wait.
